CONGRATULATIONS BLOOD DONORS

April 2006

  Our District Blood Donor Chairman R. W. Bro. Gary Bloomfield may have been away on vacation for the last few months, but he has been keeping in contact with the Blood Donor Centre while away. From an email report from Brian Markic, Donor Recruitment Coordinator of the Thunder Bay Branch of the Canadian Blood Services, the centre has turned around from being 500 units behind target at the beginning of December, to beating the target for the year ending March 31^st 2006.

 Although the total units have not yet been computed, records show: -

    1. Three consecutive months of 1000 plus donations.

    2. Highest weekly donations of the centre for 4 weeks in a row.

    3. Highest monthly donations for 3 months in a row.

    4. The first time they have surpassed their goal since the opening of the Centre in 1996.

    5. The first time that they were so busy that some days they had to turn away some walk-in donors, because they couldn't handle the flow

 Hats off to the Blood Donors for a great achievement, and Congratulations to our District Chairman R. W. Bro. Gary Bloomfield, Shuniah Lodge Blood chairman W. Bro. A.J. Harding, and to all other Lodge Blood Donor Chairman, for a very successful year and for the great promotion of Masonry in our District.

The new Challenge year commences on April 1st and we wish you an even greater success for this coming year.
