Meet the Worshipful Master - 2011-2012

Wor. Master Christopher D. Martin

Born and raised in Nipigon, ON., to the age of 18, and upon graduation from the Nipigon-Red Rock District High School, I decided to make the move to Thunder Bay to attend Confederation College and graduated from the Business Marketing Program.  I started my first career with the Hudson’s Bay Company – Zellers as a Store Manager Trainee.  My first store was Northwood mall and after completing their renovation, I was transferred to County Fair Plaza and supervised their store layout team for their expansion.  After successfully completing their expansion, I was transferred to Toronto and worked in numerous stores in the GTA for about 6 years, then I asked to come back to Thunder Bay to be closer to my family.  Working 15 years for HBC, I decided it was time for a change and I am currently employed as a Canadian/US dispatcher with McKevitt Trucking Ltd.

During our short summers, I enjoy spending summer holidays and weekends at our summer camp on Lake Elizabeth just north of Nipigon, working on the camp, fishing and swimming with family and friends.

Following the footsteps of my Father, W. Bro. Donald Martin, a Mason for 35 years and a Past Master of Superior Lodge# 672 in Red Rock, I was initiated into Masonry on April 5, 2005, Passed to the 2nd Degree on May 17, 2005, and Raised on October 6, 2005 and started my way thru the chairs in January of 2006.  I am currently the sitting Master of Kaministiqua Lodge# 584, and have been elected for a 2nd term, and loving every minute of it.
