Wor. Master Peter N. Hollings

Dr. Hollings moved to Canada from the UK in 1994 to work on his Ph.D. at the University of Saskatchewan and where he also met his wife Jill. Having spent two years in Australia working at the University of Tasmania he joined the faculty at Lakehead University in 2001 where he is continuing his research into the relationship between igneous petrogenesis and mineralisation in Northwestern Ontario, the Philippines and S America.

 

Dr. Hollings is currently the Chair of the Department of Geology and Director of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Mining and Exploration, both at Lakehead University.

 

Dr. Hollings received the NSERC Distinguished Researcher Award on March 12, 2015 at Lakehead University.

Dr. Hollings lives happily in Thunder Bay with his wife Jill and their pack of dachshunds. In his spare time Pete enjoys cross country skiing and travelling the world with Jill.

 

He joined Kam Lodge on February 06, 2007, passed to the second degree on March 20, 2007 and raised to the sublime degree of MM on May 01, 2007, he was the worshipful master in 2014 and currently serves as Director of Ceremonies for the Lodge.
