Meet The Worshipful Master - 2018

    Worshipful Brother Delwin Harasyn

    W. Bro. Delwin Harasyn was born September 25, 1954 in Beardmore, Ontario to Delco and Margaret Harasyn. Delwin was raised in Port Arthur on the corner of Dawson and Knight Streets with his two sisters and two brothers. He attended Prospect School and Hillcrest High School.

In 1978, he married his wife Janice and they had two children, Jennifer and Justin. Jennifer is an early childhood educator with the Catholic School Board and Justin is an Ontario Provincial Police Office. Delwin and Janice have two wonderful grandsons, Tripp and Nash and daughter in-law Rydelle.

After high school Delwin began his career in sales, first in the food and tobacco industry, then moving into industrial sales with A.R. Thomson Group, retiring as Eastern Canada Sales Manager after 25 years.

Delwin enjoys golfing and hunting with his friends and his favorite times are spent with the family camping and fishing at Lac Des Mille Lacs.

Delwin started his Masonic journey with his initiation into Port Arthur Lodge No. 499 on May 17th, 2004. A proud Masonic moment for Delwin was when his son Justin was initiated into Port Arthur Lodge on September 26th, 2011.

Delwin is active in the Scottish Rite, presently the Most Wise Sovereign. He is also involved with the Lakehead Shrine club where he sits as the 1st Vice President and is also a member of the ADD Shrine Duluth, MN.

He is an affiliated member of Terrace Bay Lodge No. 662.

Delwin is very honoured and proud to be assuming the Chair of King Solomon and considers it a privilege to be working with the officers and Brethren of Port Arthur Lodge during this Masonic year.

    Fraternally Yours
    Delwin Harasyn, WM
