Meet The Worshipful Master - 2015

Worshipful Brother Terry D. Oja

 

W. Bro. Terry Oja was born in Port Arthur on May 29, 1969 to David and Audrey Oja. He is the youngest of 3 siblings. He went to Algonquin Public School, Hammarskjold High School, and Lakehead University.

 

He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography, and a Degree in Business Administration. He currently holds several technical designations in the field of Computers and Videoconferencing.

 

He has worked as a Ski Instructor (level II CSIA) at Loch Lomond Ski Area, Office Manager of Loch Lomond Ski Area, a Regional Technical Officer at Contact North, and currently he is an Informational Technologist at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

 

He became interested in Masonry through friends, Ernie Rumple and Tony Torfe who sponsored him in 2005. He was initiated on February 23, 2006, Passed on March 27, 2006, and he was Raised on February 26, 2007.

 

He is married to Captain Darla Oja, OC 18 Svc Coy, and has 3 step daughters Cassandra, Larissa, and Amanda.

 

He is also a member of the Khartum Shriners.

 

He has competed at a Varsity level in Alpine skiing, competed in pool tournaments in Las Vegas, ran two marathons, and he looks forward in representing Port Arthur Lodge #499 as the Worshipful Master.
