DISTRICT DEPUTY GRAND MASTER

2010 - 2011

       R. W. Bro. Bill Davis

D.D.G.M.s  Message

 Greetings Brethren:

I am honoured and excited to have been elected as the D.D.G.M. for Algoma District and I thank you all for this privilege.

My goal is to encourage members of the district to collaboratively work together in focusing on the following:

1) Raising the awareness of Masonry in the community through Friend to Friend practices

2) Motivating brethren who dont regularly attend to become more active in their lodges through Brother to Brother practices; and

3) Actively striving to improve Lodge Work using resources that are available within the District as well as Grand Lodge.

The sum total of the three will result in increased numbers of members and more fellowship developing between members.

With the combined efforts of all of you in your respective areas, the year has the potential to be very successful for Masonry within the District.

I would like to congratulate our past D.D.G.M.  R. W. Bro.  Marvin Salmi. We all have appreciated your hard work and dedication to the district.

Congratulations are also extended to V.W. Bro. George Morton on his appointment as a Grand Steward. As the District Secretary, your efforts on our behalf have not gone unnoticed.

Finally, R.W. Bro. Robert Manz was appointed to the Board of General Purposes. His presence at Grand Lodge ensures that our District is capably represented and our voice will be heard.

The other appointments for District Committees are listed on the 2010-2011 Trestle Board.

In the Grand Masters address 2010, he referred to the 21st-Century Renaissance of Freemasonry that we are experiencing.  He spoke of a renewed interest by a new generation of young men seeking admission to the ministries and privileges of Ancient Freemasonry. By encouraging their involvement,  he suggests that our future is ensured.

The challenge is now ours to move forward.
